Industrial action planned at HIAL airports on 9 June by trades union Unite has been suspended to allow further talks to take place between the company and union.

A HIAL spokesman said: “The union has agreed to suspend the action planned for 9 June to allow further discussions to take place. We welcome this move which will allow air traffic to operate as normal next Monday. We are now liaising with the union to identify suitable dates to get round the table again.”
