Holiday flights to Jersey from Inverness have been confirmed for summer 2009 following a successful inaugural programme this year.
Airways Holidays, which operated from Inverness for the first time this year, is now offering early booking for its 2009 programme from the Highland capital. Flights will operate weekly on Saturdays from 27 June 2009 with the final return flight from Jersey operating on 29 August 2009.
The Channel Island destination proved popular with holidaymakers this year with its combination of spectacular scenery, safe clean beaches, fantastic food and a warm climate just a short journey from home.
Inverness Airport manager James Walton said: “Jersey has proved to be a popular destination with Highland holidaymakers this year and contributed to making August the busiest month ever at Inverness with over 75,000 passengers using the airport, an increase of more than 7% on August 2007.
“With the 2009 Airways Holidays programme now confirmed, we expect there will be strong demand from people keen to enjoy the convenience of flying from their local airport and to benefit from the early offers available.”
