Benbecula Airport

Description Benbecula lies between North Uist and South Uist in the Western Isles. The airport, located on the west coast of the island, provides important support services to the QinetiQ Hebrides Ranges. An Air Traffic Control Service is provided for all operations except on call ambulance flights, which are supported by a Flight Information Service. An Airport Fire Service is provided on the basis of a Rescue and Fire Fighting Service category 5 airport, but utilises a dispensation to category 4 as detailed in Civil Aviation Publication 168, chapter 8. View map of area Facilities for the Disabled There are ramp facilities at the entrance to the terminal and staff are available to assist on request. An ambulift is available for boarding aircraft.
