Pilot information
A Prior Permission Required (PPR) from must be completed if you are planning to fly into any of our airports.
Completing the form is not confirmation of approval. If approved a PPR number will be sent to the contact details provided in application.
It is also a mandatory requirement to complete a General Aviation Report when arriving from or departing to a country out with Great Britain, or the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. Out of Hours Permit Scheme
From Monday 26 April 2021, cross-border travel will be permitted between Scotland, England and Wales, subject to any local restrictions in place.
Travel between Scotland, Northern Ireland and the following parts of the Common Travel Area - Channel Islands and the Isle of Man – is also allowed under Scottish law, again subject to local restrictions. Restrictions remain on travel to the remaining part of the Common Travel Area, the Republic of Ireland, but will be kept under review.

Drone Safety
There are legal requirements in place if you wish to own or fly a drone or unmanned aircraft anywhere outdoors in the UK, for both recreational flights and commercial operations. In addition to making yourself aware of airport no-fly zones (and how to seek permission to enter these), please ensure you are fully compliant with all legal requirements.
