Out of Hours Permit Scheme
Fixed wing aircraft which exceed 5,700 kgs MTOW no longer qualify to operate under the HIAL Out of Hours Indemnity Permit Scheme. On the grounds of safety, the justification for taking this decision was to prevent aircraft above this weight being chartered to/from an HIAL aerodrome outside its published hours, when there is no air traffic service or airport fire service cover available.
For details of Out of Hours Permission please download the Out of Hours application form at the foot of this page and contact the airport you wish to fly to direct during the published airport opening hours. Once completed, please return your OOH application to:
