The route has connected Kirkwall and Sumburgh to Heathrow for the first time and restored an air link from Heathrow to Dundee last offered a generation ago.
These routes have enjoyed immense popularity among both business and leisure travelers, facilitating over 100,000 customer journeys within the past year.
