Businesses show interest in tender opportunities with HIAL

Over 80 representatives from businesses across the Highlands and Islands attended an online Information Session on 25 June to find out more about tender contract opportunities available with HIAL.

Thirty one contract opportunities will be available with HIAL, with values of between £50k and £15 million to provide a range of maintenance services to support all HIAL airports.

At the session, Keith Inglis, Infrastructure Services Manager at HIAL and Sarah Shelley, Head of Procurement gave a presentation on the type of contract opportunities available and provided details on how businesses can apply for the tenders, following the procurement process.

Businesses who are interested in tendering for the contracts with HIAL are advised to register as suppliers on the Public Contracts Scotland website where they will then receive notifications of contract opportunities as they become available.

Sarah Shelley, Head of Procurement said, “We were delighted with the interest shown by businesses from across the Highlands and Islands at the Information Session, particularly from local contractors. This was a great opportunity to take them through the tender process and answer any questions they had.”

We are very keen to make businesses aware of the tender opportunities available to help us to maintain our airports and the communities they support.”
