We have updated our Strategic Plan for 2023-2028 following an internal review by senior managers and the HIAL Board
The outcome of the review was that our current focus on delivering our core activities, identifying efficiencies and cost savings must continue as we strive to meet the significant financial challenges facing the public sector.
While we continue to face extremely tight financial budgets, our challenge has moved on from the immediate aftermath of Covid-19 and we have taken the opportunity to update the narrative in the Plan.
We have made significant progress in delivering on our strategic objectives in the first year of our Strategic Plan. We scrutinised our business and operating costs to identify cost reductions, increase commercial revenue and work as efficiently and effectively as possible. And with the help of colleagues right across the Company we delivered an end of year outturn £3.6m below the annual grant available to us on 31 March 2024.
The Plan includes a new section detailing what we have achieved and some of our focus areas under each of our strategic priorities have been updated to reflect the progress made to date. View the plan here
We have also published our Corporate Operating Plan for 2025/26 which identifies our objectives for the coming year that will help us deliver our strategic priorities.
Our success to date is down to the dedication and invaluable contribution of our front line and support colleagues. And, as we step forward, I am confident in our collective ability to rise to the challenges ahead.
