Partners joined Lorna Jack, chair of Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) and Inglis Lyon to hear about the progress being made at the Sustainable Aviation Test Environment (SATE) site.
The SATE project, which is based at Kirkwall Airport, was launched in November 2020, with the ambition to create the UK’s first operationally-based, low-carbon aviation test centre. Since its inception HIAL has invested £3.6million into the project, which is providing a blueprint for the future of sustainable aviation in Scotland.
