Johanna Wallace joins HIAL as its new Finance and Commercial Director on Monday 30 November.
This is a new role with responsibility for managing all aspects of the group’s finances, including business development, procurement and property management.
Johanna brings a wealth of experience across a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing, brewing and oil and gas. Her most recent role was as Finance Director at Vets Now, a leading provider of emergency pet care that operates veterinary clinics and hospitals across the UK.
Before joining Vets Now in 2015, she held finance leadership roles in the Midlands and Scotland, including at FMC Technologies and AG Barr. Originally from Inverness-Shire, Johanna studied Maths at Aberdeen University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001 whilst working for EY in Glasgow.

Having grown up in the Highlands I appreciate the challenges of our more remote communities and the crucial services HIAL provide to ensure people remain connected. I’m looking forward to returning to live and work in the area and joining the team at HIAL. ”
